    Trains of Kites .....

    Anyone see Countryfile this evening ?
    Kite Championships on the Wirral ..
    They showed us Falcon kites used for pest control after the Falconer has 'left the field' ...
    The kites are kept aloft on what looks like extremely long carbon fibre fishing poles !!

    i worked on the new union square shopping centre in aberdeen last year and they had half a dozen of these to scare away the gulls ..

    they have one of those on the roof of the ritz hotel in london

    I have seen these several times over the years. They need changing after a while, as with everything the Birds get used to them, realising they don't get attacked.
