ive forgotten to be honest he was nice to fly. moving along the hedgrows and you could call him by just hand signals . arm raised and it would follow on. arm out infront it would come to glove . move around quietly and try and catch something sat off the hedge . it is a bird if anyone is interested who was loaned out to beginners who he could trust as a first bird to see if they were up to owning a bird and looking after one . it trained a few people over the years

me and dad do for both the hawks we're with golden vally like most people you get good service with them i think it was £90 per year but depends on how much you pay for the bird and thats with my telem insured to and it covers death, non return and £2500 for each illness and injury
you only get one life so live it to the full

any help with this woul be great!
In my opinion if if i was ever to get another Harris, taking into account i would not be looking at hunting hares i would go for a male as you are then opened up to Maggpie, and Jay's and rabbits as well ,you have heard right , the males are quicker of the mark and more agile but if Hare is on the menu then go for a female.
    Ian Jenkins,
